What has been a highlight to your summer?
-The highlight of my summer has been watching a family friend from my hometown and my cousin play against each other at Yankee Stadium.
Have you been working? What is your job/what do you do?
-I was a cashier at a local grocery store. I was also a counselor at a special education camp for two weeks, and I have worked for a full-time internship for an accounting company.
What did you learn over the summer?
-I learned what accounting is like on a day-to-day basis, and I was exposed to ideas and concepts that I would learn for my major.
What was the hardest thing you had to do?
-Wake up early every day.
Did you go on vacation? Where to/what did you do?
-I went to New York, and I saw my cousin play baseball. I also went to Times Square and saw the Statue of Liberty.
Who did you spend the most time with this summer?
-I spent a lot of my time with my friends from home, and I made sure to always hang with the rents.
Did you meet up with any BC friends over the summer? What did you do?
-I hung out with Bradley Simon, and we went swimming at the lake. We went swimming and drove around on a boat.
Did you do anything educational over summer?
-My internship was very educational and eye-opening to what I want to do in the future. I learned about inventory and invoicing.
Did you make anything this summer?
-I made this really good smoothie once. It was peanut butter banana, my favorite! What a treat!
What are you most excited about for 1st semester?
-I am excited to back with all my BC friends and people that I have not seen in a while. I am excited to be able to meet the people that are abroad. I am excited to explore new ideas with the new leadership council.
Do you have a best word to describe your summer?
-Lively. I had a lot of things that I can do, and a lot of people that I can see. I went to a lot of events that I wanted to go to rather than them being mandatory.
Did you read any new books/watch any new movies you would recommend?
-Hotel Transylvania and the Lego Movie were terrible. Do not watch them. They were hard to watch.
Did you go to any concerts/festivals?
-I did not, but I really wanted to go to Country Thunder.
What did you see this summer that surprised you?
-I was afraid that when I went home for the summer that there would be a lot of change, but everything was like normal.
What favorite place to hang out in the summer?
I spent a lot of time at Lake Sara with my friends. We even set up a tire swing, and it look like The Notebook (Shannon (me) said that because I saw a snapchat).
