What has been a highlight to your summer?
Definitely living 3 blocks from the Empire State Building in New York City! Also meeting my favorite band, White Reaper.
Have you been working? What is your job/what do you do?
I’ve been in New York since January, when I interned for C3 Management working with 4 different bands. I then followed my manager from that internship and stayed the summer, working for Red Light Management. There I was able to work on a variety of creative marketing projects within the music industry, such as assisting with billboards for Spotify in Las Vegas, Toronto, and LA and planning a 24-date tour. I was also able to help plan for Tiesto (who will be playing when the Seniors go to Las Vegas !!!).
What did you learn over the summer?
I learned a ton about how to learn quickly, especially when it came to the creative aspects of marketing. I also learned about the parts of the music industry and what I want to pursue in the future!
What was the hardest thing you had to do?
Spending time alone living in a new city was difficult - but it was a good test of personal strength and independence! I would definitely go back someday.
Did you meet up with any BC friends over the summer? What did you do?
I was so excited to meet up with Erica Hackett, Paveena Bhugra, and Meg Keane for “boozy brunches.”
What are you most excited about for 1st semester?
Easy answer - $1 wells at Kams and socializing with the BC family back on campus.
Do you have a best word to describe your summer?
It was a dream -
“I was a simple farm girl who moved to New York City for 7 months. That’s crazy!”
